| The Group's principal activities are to design, manufacture, market and service enterprise information solutions for the global hospitality and specialty retail industries. The Group's activities are carried out through three segments: Hotel Information Systems comprises of software encompassing property management systems, sales and catering systems, central reservation systems and customer information under the brand MICROS-Fidelio. Restaurant Information Systems includes hardware and software for point-of-sale and operational applications and a suite of back office applications including inventory, labor and finance management. Specialty retail industry consist of retail operations selling to consumers both general and specific products, including clothing, food, hardware, jewelry and other specialty items. The Group operates in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, Asia, Latin America & Canada. On 29-Jan-2007, the Group acquired the RedSky IT Hospitality. |
