Its activities are carried out through three major areas: Hotel Information Systems consists of software, encompassing property based management systems, related property-specific modules and applications and central systems, including central reservation systems. The restaurant information systems consist of hardware and software for point-of-sale and operational applications. The retail systems consist of software encompassing POS, loss prevention, web commerce applications, business analytics, customer gift cards, electronic payments and enterprise applications. The Group operates in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, Asia, Latin America and Canada. In 2008, the Group acquired Fry Inc and Check-in Data AG. During fiscal 2008, it acquired distributor of MICROS products and services. |
