| The Group's principal activities are to manufacture, design and market an extensive line of high-quality glass tableware, ceramic dinnerware, metal flatware, hollowware and serveware and plastic items to a broad group of customers in the foodservice, retail, business-to-business and industrial markets. It operates in three segments: North American Glass includes sales of glass tableware from subsidiaries throughout the U.S, Canada and Mexico. North American Other includes sales of ceramic dinnerware; metal tableware, hollowware and serveware and plastic items from subsidiaries in the U.S. International includes worldwide sales of glass tableware from subsidiaries outside the U.S, Canada and Mexico. It also own and operate ceramic dinnerware plant in New York and a plastics plant in Wisconsin. Its trademarks are Libbey(R), Syracuse(R) China, World(R) Tableware, Crisa(R), Royal Leerdam(R) and Traex(R). On 16-Jun-2006, it acquired the remaining 51 percent of Crisa. |
