| The Group's principal activities are to invest in long-term care and other health care related facilities through mortgage loans, facility lease transactions and other investments. The Group qualifies as a REIT under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. The Group's primary objectives are to sustain and enhance stockholder equity value and provide current income for distribution to stockholders through real estate investments in long-term care facilities and other health care related facilities managed by experienced operators . At 31-Dec-2007, the Group had investments in owned properties consisting of 108 skilled nursing properties, 94 assisted living properties and 2 school in 29 states. The Group operates predominantly in the United States. |
