It operates its business through four divisions: mobile communication, digital appliance, digital display and digital media. The mobile communication division offers telecommunication terminals, mobile communication terminals and systems, private branch exchange (PBX) systems, and others. The digital appliance division provides air conditioners, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, motors and other electronic products and components. The digital display division offers televisions, monitors, plasma display panel (PDP) modules, video tapes and others. The digital media division provides storage devices, audios, videocassette recorders, digital versatile discs and others. In December 2009, the Company announced that a United States-based joint venture of the Company and other LG affiliates, acquired Kodak's organic light emitting diodes business. |
