The Group's principal activity is the manufacturing of life science and nutritional products, performance materials and industrial chemicals. The Group operates in five segments: Nutrition, Pharma, Performance Materials, Industrial Chemicals, and Other Activities. The Group's main customers are beverages, feed and flavour/fragrance companies and the pharmaceutical, automotive and electronics industries. One of the Group's brand names is Unlimited. The Company is based in The Netherlands and operates worldwide, employing around 23,000 people. In 2008, the Group acquired Polymer Technology Group Inc, CMT, Soluol, Valley Research, Polymeric Processes Inc and Diolen Industrial Fibers.
