| The Group's principal activities are marine transportation and diesel engine services. It operates in two business segments: Marine Transportation and Diesel Engine Services. The Marine Transportation segment provides inland transportation of petrochemicals, black oil products, refined petroleum products and agricultural chemicals by tank barges and offshore transportation of dry-bulk cargoes by barge. It operates a fleet of 913 active inland tank barges, 258 active inland towboats, 4 offshore dry cargo barges, 4 offshore tugboats and 1 shifting tugboat. The Diesel Engine Services segment sells genuine replacement parts. This segment also provides service mechanics to overhaul and repair diesel engines and reduction gears and maintains facilities to rebuild component parts. It acquired Coastal Towing Inc. in January 2007. |
