The Group's principal activities are mining and processing of gold and silver ore and the exploration for and acquisition of gold-bearing properties, principally in the Americas, Russia, Australia and Africa. The products of the Group are gold and silver produced in the form of dore. The Group ships the dore to refineries for final processing. On 30-Sep-2008, it acquired Aurelian Resources Inc. As of 31-Dec-2008, the Group had approximately 45.6 million ounces of gold and 105.8 million ounces of silver.
