| The Group's principal activities are developing, manufacturing and selling branded prescription pharmaceutical products. The Group operates in five segments: Branded Pharmaceuticals, Contract Manufacturing, Meridian Medical Technologies, Royalties, and Other. Branded Pharmaceuticals include branded pharmaceutical over seven therapeutic areas including Cardiovascular, Endocrinology, Neuroscience, Critical Care, Anti-infective and Respiratory. Contract manufacturing primarily includes pharmaceutical manufacturing services provided to third-party pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Meridian Medical Technology develops, manufactures, and sells auto-injector pharmaceutical products to both commercial and government markets. Royalties include revenues derived by transferring the manufacturing or marketing rights to third parties. The Group markets its products to general/family practitioners, physicians and hospitals. |
