| Jura Energy Corporation is engaged in the exploration, development and production of petroleum and natural gas properties. Its activities are conducted exclusively in Pakistan, where it has ownership positions in exploration, appraisal and development concessions. The Company’s six licences and one lease cover a total area of 1,287,548 acres, with four interests being located in the Central Gas Basin, two interests in the Lower Indus Gas and Oil Basin and one in the northern oil-bearing Potwar Basin. During the fiscal year ended September 30, 2009 (fiscal 2009), the Company drilled two exploratory wells, Kandra four dimensional and Jamali Deep (Badin IV North). In addition, in fiscal 2009, it drilled a third well, Rafay 1, on the Mirpur Mathelo concession. Kandra-4D well was drilled to a total depth of 2,229 meters. The Jamali Deep-1 well was drilled to a depth of 3,872 meters. In March 2010, the Company sold its 66.67% equity interest in Pyramid Energy International Inc. |
