The Group's principal activities are to manufacture and market underground mining machinery, surface mining equipment and Crushing & Conveying for the extraction of coal and other minerals and ores. The Group operates in three segments: Underground mining and Surface mining. The Underground mining equipment segment is used to extract coal and other bedded minerals. It also offers comprehensive service locations near major mining regions worldwide. The surface mining equipment segment extracts ores and minerals and provides extensive operational support for many types of equipment used in surface mining. Crushing & Conveying segment represent bulk material handling in mining and industrial applications and crushing equipment for both surface and underground environments. The products of the Group include continuous miners, complete longwall shearers, roof supports and armored face conveyors. On 14-Feb-2008, the Groups acquired N.E.S. Investment Co.
