Jai Balaji Industries Limited is engaged in iron and steel manufacturing business. The Company’s products include pig iron, ferro alloys, alloy and mild steel billets, wire rods, ductile iron pipes and alloy and mild steel heavy rounds. It operates a 60 square meter Sinter Plant at its Blast Furnace site, which recycles the iron-ore and coke fines into Sinter Cakes to be used as feed for the furnace. The Company has integrated facilities for producing steel in its eight manufacturing units spread across the states of West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Jharkhand in India. As of March 31, 2011, it had capacities to manufacture 1,020,430 million tons of billets and blooms, of which 100,000 million tons was in Chhattisgarh, 114,200 million tons in Orissa and 806,230 million tons in West Bengal. On November 11, 2010, the Company incorporated two wholly owned subsidiaries, Jai Balaji Steels (Purulia) Limited & Jai Balaji Energy (Purulia) Limited.
