The Group's principal activity is to provide transportation logistics in North America.It operates in four segments: The JBT, The JBI, The DCS and The ICS. The JBT segment includes full truck-load, dry-van freight that is primarily transported utilizing company-owned or controlled revenue equipment. The JBI segment includes freight that is transported by rail over at least a portion of the movement. This may also include certain repositioning truck loads that are moved by JBI equipment or third-party carriers, in circumstances where the movement directs JBI equipment back towards intermodal operations. The DCS segment usually includes company-owned revenue equipment and employee drivers who are assigned to a specific customer, traffic lane or service. The ICS provides non-asset and asset-light transportation solutions to customers through relationships with third-party carriers and integration with JBHT owned equipment.
