| The Company's principal activity is manufacturing cables. These are electric cables, shipboard cables, rubber cables, data cables and copper rods. The electric cables, which include distribution cables and control cables, are used to supply the power inside of buildings for housing and commercial uses and to industrial distribution circuits. The shipboard cables are used in passenger ships, submarines and warships as well as mobile and fixed offshore units. The rubber cables are used for trailing and handing systems, wind turbine systems, elevator systems, nuclear power plants as well as subways and trains. The data cables are used for communication cables. The copper rods include copper cathodes and copper scraps, which are used as materials for manufacturing electric power, shipboard, rubber and telecommunication cables. |
