Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust Company. The objectives of the Company are to achieve long-term capital growth from investing in a range of investment trusts and open-ended funds; to achieve growth of income with potential for long-term capital growth by investing in equities, higher yielding shares of investment trusts and fixed income securities. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988. Investment management services are provided by JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 0.3% per annum on assets invested in JPMorgan managed funds and 0.6% on assets invested in externally managed funds and direct investments payable quarterly in arrears. The agreement is terminable on one year's notice. |
