The Group's principal activities are the production and marketing of cement, ready-mixed concrete, building and construction materials and hydraulic binders. Other activities include engineering projects, investments and export of hydraulic binders. The Group operates in 22 countries through subsidiaries located in Europe, Asia and North America. In 2008, the Group acquired Cambridge (Canada), Arrows (USA),Fuping Cement Co.(China) and Hilal Cement Company. The newly-born italcementi group began to diversify geographically through a series of acquisitions in emerging countries such as Bulgaria, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Thailand and India, as well as operating in North America.
