The Group's principal activity is to develop and market RNA-based drugs to treat important diseases. The Group operates in 2 segments; Drug Discovery and Development and Regulus Therapeutics. The Drug Discovery and Development segment produces proprietary portfolio of compounds applicable to many disease targets. It has 17 drugs in development with its partner, of which three are in Phase II clinical development, four are in Phase I clinical development and three are in preclinical development. Regulus therapeutic includes opportunities that arise from alterations in microRNA expression. In January 2009 the Group sold their Ibis Biosciences to AMI.
