The Group's principal activity is to provide financial market data, analytics and related services to financial institutions, active traders and individual investors. The Group operates in two business segments: Institutional services and Active trader services. The Institutional services segment provides pricing, dividend and corporate information about traded securities. The information is provided to banks, insurance companies, money managers, brokerage firms and mutual fund companies. This segment also provides fixed income portfolio analytics, valuation and consulting services to customers. The Active trader services segment targets active traders, which includes individual investors and professional traders. On 01-Aug-2008, the Group acquired Kler's Financial Data Service S.r.l.
