The Group's principal activity is to extract natural gas liquids and transport petroleum. It operates through four segments: oil sands transportation business, NGL extraction business, conventional oil pipeline business and bulk liquid storage business. The oil sands transportation business consists of two pipelines systems a heavy blend and condensate pipeline system and a diluted bitumen and upgrader system. The NGL extraction business consists of processing natural gas to extract natural gas liquids (NGLs), including ethane and a mixture of propane, butane and pentanes plus. The conventional oil pipeline business is primarily the transportation, storage and processing of hydrocarbons. The bulk liquid storage business activity comprises primarily the storage and handling of bulk liquid products. The Group operates in Canada and Europe
