Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Group's principal activity is to extract natural gas liquids and transport petroleum. It operates approximately 4,900 kilometers of petroleum pipelines and 1.3 million barrels of storage in Western Canada. Inter pipeline transports approximately 470,000 barrels per day of oil sands bitumen, conventional crude oil and gas plant condensate. It operates in three segments: Pipeline Business, Extraction Business, Liquid Storage Business and Oil sands transportation business. Pipeline business transports light, medium and heavy sour crude oil. Extraction business extracts natural gas liquids from natural gas streams destined for export to US and eastern Canadian markets. |
