| The Group's principal activity is to own and operate as a holding company. Some of the companies in which the Group has direct holdings are Qatar Steel Company, an integrated steel manufacturer; Qatar Petrochemical Company Ltd, a manufacturer of high quality ethylene and low density polyethylene; Qatar Fertiliser Company, a producer of ammonia and urea and Qatar Fuel Additives Company Ltd, a methanol and methyl-tertiary-butyl-ether producer. The Group operates in the State of Qatar and in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in the United Arab Emirates. |
