The Group's principal activities are to develop and manufacture or license a wide range of hardware and software technologies and products. It focuses on automotive, consumer electronics, entertainment, gaming, commercial and industrial controls, medical simulation, mobile communications and three-dimensional design and interaction. The Group operates in two segments: the Touch Line of Business and the Medical Line of Business. The Touch Line of Business segment license intellectual property for touch-enabling technologies for consumer gaming peripherals and extend beyond gaming to other applications of haptics-related products and services. The Medical Line of Business segment develop simulation technologies used for medical training and testing. The Group operates primarily in the United States of America and in Canada through its wholly owned subsidiary, Immersion Canada, Inc.
