| The principal activities of the Group are to develop and manufacture or license a wide range of hardware and software technologies and products. It provide haptic technologies that allow people to use the sense of touch more fully when operating a wide variety of digital devices. The Group operates in two segments: Immersion Medical and Immersion Computing, Entertainment, and Industrial. Immersion Medical segment develops, manufactures, and markets medical simulators that recreate realistic healthcare environments. Immersion Computing, Entertainment, and Industrial segment sells products that consist of digitizers, such as the MicroScribe(R) line; specialized whole-hand sensing gloves and software, such as the CyberGlove(R) II wireless glove, CyberGrasp(R) system, and CyberForce(R) armature that permit simulated interaction with three-dimensional environments; and TouchSense components and software for our touchscreen and rotary control solutions. |
