IPSA Group Plc is engaged in the construction, development and operation of electricity generation assets and the supply of electricity to the wholesale market and end-users. The principal activities of the Company comprise the acquisition and development of power generation assets in southern Africa. The Company acquired the southern African power business of Independent Power Corporation (IPC) through its acquisition of Blazeway Engineering Limited (Blazeway). In October 2009, IPSA Group Plc announced that it has taken back ownership of 100% of Elitheni Clean Coal Holdings Limited.
