| The Group's principal activities are manufacturing and marketing specialty chemicals and related services. The Group operates through two segments: Paper Technologies and Ventures, and the Aqualon Group. Paper Technologies supplies functional and process chemicals for the paper industry. It also offers expertise with in-mill capabilities ranging from wet-end chemicals and various treatments through out the paper making process, to and including paper finishing. The Ventures portion consists of a portfolio of businesses. These business within Ventures are Pulping chemicals, Water treatment chemicals Lubricants, and Building and Converted products. Aqualon group offers products design to manage the properties of aqueous (water based) systems. Major end users for Aqualon products include personal care products, food additives, pharmaceutical products, construction materials and other. The Group operates in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. |
