| The Group's principal activities are exploring, developing, mining and processing precious and nonferrous metals, including gold, silver, lead, zinc and certain industrial minerals. Its principal operating units include The Lucky Friday unit, which is located in northern Idaho; The Green Creeks unit, which is located in Admiralty Island, near Juneau, Alaska; The La Camorra unit, which is located in the eastern Venezuelan State of Bolivar; and The San Sebastian unit, which is located in the State of Durango, Mexico. The Group produces both metal concentrates, which are sold to custom smelters on contract, and unrefined gold and silver bullion bars (dore), which may be sold as dore or further refined before sale to precious metals traders. Based in Idaho, United States, the Group conducts significant mining operations and exploration projects in Venezuela and Mexico. |
