The Group's principal activity is to provide managed health care services. It helps people to be healthy, secure and comfortable. The Group's HMO, insured PPO and government contracts subsidiaries provide health benefits to approximately 6.9 million individuals in 50 states through group, individual, Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE programs. The Group also offers managed health care products related to behavioral health and prescription drugs, managed health care product coordination for multi-region employers and administrative services for medical groups and self-funded benefits. It operates through two business segments: Health plan services and Government contracts/specialty services. The Group operates throughout the United States.
