The Group's principal activity is to provide comprehensive portfolio of healthcare benefit plans. The Group focuses on Medicare, the health insurance program for retired United States citizens aged 65 and older, qualifying disabled persons, and persons suffering from end-stage renal disease. It currently owns and operates Medicare health plans in Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, Illinois and Mississippi and Florida. The Group began offering Medicare Part D prescription drug plans on a nationwide basis. In addition, the Group also utilizes its infrastructure and provides networks in Tennessee and Alabama to offer commercial health plans to individuals and employer groups. It also provides management services to healthcare plans and physician partnerships.
