The Group's principal activity is provide non-life and life insurance services. It operates in five segments: Life insur & long-term savings, Health insur, General insur, Financial serv and Oth. Life insur & long-term savings include the group's insurance activities in the life assurance branch and in the management of pension and provident funds. Health insur includes the group's insurance activities in the sickness and hospitalization, personal accident and long-term care branches. General insur includes four sub - divisons: Motor property, Compulsory motor vehicles, Other liability, Property and other. Financial serv include group's activities in the capital and financial markets carried out through Harel Finance. The Group operates in Israel. On 14-Feb-2008, the group acquired Gilad Comprehensive Pension Fund Limited and Tzava Hakeva Savings Fund on 28-Jul-2008.
