| The Group's principal activity is operating as managing agent of syndicate 382 at Lloyd's and underwriting on syndicate 382 through a limited liability corporate member. The Group operates through major classes of commercial business except motor and liability sectors. The Group focuses on aviation insurance, particularly helicopters, but it also has a significant business insuring ships and their cargos. The syndicate provides reinsurance to other underwriters against non-marine catastrophes such as hurricanes and earthquakes. The Group also provides services relating to non-marine business, including direct United Kingdom property, accident and medical cover and financial institutions. |
