Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited (the Bank) is a Pakistan-based banking company engaged in commercial banking and related services. The Bank operates 138 branches, including four Islamic banking branches and 25 sub-branches in Pakistan. The Bank operates through three segments. The Trading and Sales segment undertakes the Bank's treasury, money market and capital market activities. The Retail Banking segment provides services to small borrowers, such as consumers, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and borrowers' agriculture sector. It includes loans, deposits and other transactions with retail customers. The Commercial Banking segment includes loans, deposits and other transactions with corporate customers. The Bank is a subsidiary of Habib Bank AG Zurich - Switzerland, which is incorporated in Switzerland. As of December 31, 2011, the Bank had one wholly owned subsidary, Habib Metropolitan Financial Services Limited.
