| The Group's principal activities are to provide property and casualty insurance coverage, underwriting agency and intermediary services to its customers. The Group's activities are carried out through four segments: The Insurance division provides insurance coverage that includes group life, accident and health, aviation, energy, marine, property, global financial products and other lines of insurance. The Underwriting operations include insurance underwriting management and claims administration services. The Intermediary division provides a wide range of services that include marketing, placing, consulting on and servicing insurance risks for clients and customers. The other operations consist of insurance related services offered to the Group's subsidiaries, reinsures and unaffiliated entities. In 2008, the group acquired MultiNational Underwriters, LLC. |
