| The Group's principal activities are carried out through its three business segments: Cellular, Long Distance and Other services. The Cellular segment offers wireless cellular telephone services in 5 central and southern Mexican regions and wireless PCS telephone services in the national level. It attends to subscribers in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Leon, Puebla and Merida. The postpaid and prepaid cellular services include "value-added services" such as voice mail, call forwarding, call waiting, 3G services, Roaming and secretarial services. The Long Distance segment provides long distance services to cellular subscribers in 59 Mexican cities through operators such as AT&T and Teleglobe America Inc. The Other businesses include Short Messaging (SMS) and Multimedia Messaging (MMS) services, data transmission, radio localization, and wireless and landline national direct dial telephone services. Its major brands are Iusacell, Unefon and VIVA for prepaid products. |
