| The Group's principal activity is providing civil construction services. The Group operates in three geographically divisions: Granite West, Granite East and Granite Land Company. Granite West comprises of branches in the western United States that perform heavy civil construction projects and improvement of streets, roads, highways and bridges. Granite East operates in the eastern portion of the United States, which focus on complex infrastructure for major highways, large dams, mass transit facilities, bridges, pipelines, canals, tunnels, waterway locks and dams, and airport infrastructure. Granite Land Corporation provides real estate services for other Granite operations. The Group operates in California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Texas, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, New York and Utah. On April 3, 2007, it acquired Superior Group of Companies. |
