The Group's principal activities are builders and plumbers merchanting and Do It Yourself (DIY) retailing and mortar manufacturing. The Merchanting business trades from 430 locations comprising 219 Builders Merchanting branches trading principally under the Buildbase and Jackson brands and 211 Plumbers Merchanting branches trading under the Plumbase brand in the United Kingdom. In the Republic of Ireland the builders and merchanting business trades from 62 branches under the Chadwicks and Heiton Buckley brands. The DIY retailing business trades from 41 stores and is also manufacturing mortar, plastic and windows.
