The Group's principal activities are to manufacture and market soaps, fatty acids, detergents, alpha olefin, cosmetics glycerin and oils. The Group operates through five segments: Chemicals segment includes oleochemicals such as fatty acids, fatty alcohols, and alfa olefin sulphonates and refined glycerin. Finance & Investments segment comprises of investment in subsidiaries, associate companies & other investments. Estate segment comprises the business of giving premises on leave and license basis. Vegoils segment includes refined vegetable oils and vanaspati and Others includes energy generation through windmills and medical Diagnostics business.
