The Group's principal activity is the development of an alumina refinery located in the bauxite-rich region of the Republic of Guinea (the Sangaredi Refinery Project). It also plans to develop, finance and construct a coal-fired power plant and water supply dam as well as upgrade existing railroad and port infrastructure to serve the new refinery. Its joint venture partners are BHP Billiton, Dubai Aluminium Company Limited and Mubadala Development Company PJSC.
