The Group's principal activities are manufacturing and supplying of medical equipment. The equipment's are used in infection control and prevention, surgical workstations and care of the elderly and disabled. The Group operates in three segments: Medical Systems, Extended Car and Infection Control. ; Extended care provided hygiene systems, lifting and transfer aids for long term care and specialised mattresses for wound care. Infection Control provides equipment within sterilizers and disinfectors for hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry. Medical Systems provide surgical tables, surgical lights and ceiling service units for medi-tech equipment. The Group operates under the brand names Getinge, Arjo, Pegasus, Lancer and Maquet. The Group operates globally. In 2008, the Group acquired the cardiac, vascular divisions of Boston Scientific.In 2009, the Group acquired Subtil Crepieux and Datascope Corporation.
