The Group's principal activity is to provide home health services in the United States. The Group operates in 3 segments. The Home Health segment provides direct home nursing and therapy services operations, including the Specialty Programs. The Specialty Programs include individualized home orthopaedic rehabilitation services; Gentiva Safe Strides provides therapies for patients with balance issues who are prone to injury or immobility as a result of falling; and helps patients and their physicians manage heart and lung health in a home-based environment. The CareCentrix segment consists of Gentiva's ancillary care benefit management and coordination of integrated homecare services for managed care organizations and health benefit plans. The Other Related Services segment includes hospice, respiratory therapy, home medical equipment, infusion therapy and consulting services businesses.
