| The Group's principal activity is to design, manufacture and market semiconductors and semiconductor-based products. The products are sold to global video, audio and data communications markets. It operates in four segments: Video products, Audio and Wireless products, Data Communications products and other. The Video products are classified as Serial Digital Interface (SDI) products, Timing Generation products, Image Processing products and Analogue and Mixed Signal products. The products of Audio and Wireless division range from single-function ICs to complex miniaturized modules containing a number of ICs coupled with other passive electronic parts. The Data Communications Products are classified into two product lines, backplane interconnects and optical transceivers. It serves its customers from Canada, Japan and United Kingdom. It has design centres in Burlington and Ottawa in Canada and in the United Kingdom. |
