GELSENWASSER AG is a Germany-based utility company, active in the water, wastewater and energy sectors. The Company serves domestic households and municipalities, supply companies and industrial businesses. It provides its services for more than 70 cities and towns in the fields of water and natural gas supply and waste water disposal. In addition, it has business relationships with about 30 utility companies who procure drinking water or natural gas and heat for their customers. The companies, in which GELSENWASSER holds shares, provide water for a total of 4.7 million citizens and manage the waste water of 2.2 million citizens. In addition, the Company is involved in various natural gas storage projects and the feeding of biogas into gas networks. The Company has operations mainly in North-Rhine Westphalia, but also in other German states, as well in the Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey and France.
