The Group's principal activity is operating retail outlets specialising in retailing computer software, video games and related products. The Group operated 1,161 stores chain. It has stores in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Australia. On 1 July 2007, the Group acquired the entire share capital of the Engine Technology Systems SL and on 19 September 2007 acquired also the entire share capital of The Games Wizards Proprietary.
