The Group's principal activity is developing a range of new medicines based on cannabis and other controlled drugs. The Group's lead programme is the development of a portfolio of cannabinoid medicines, including Sativex, to meet patient needs in a wide range of therapeutic indications. The principal initial target areas are Multiple Sclerois (MS) spasticity, neuropathic pain, neuropathic pain in MS and cancer pain. The Group's research also includes the use of other controlled drugs in conjunction with its proprietary secure drug dispensing technology. The Group operates predominantly in the United Kingdom.
