The Group's principal activities are investing in, developing, operating and managing cogeneration and power plants. It operates through five business segments: coal fuelled & resources comprehenvisve utilisation (RCU) plants, cogeneration plants fuelled by coal gangue, coal sludge and other low heat value fuels; coal trading; gas fuelled plants, cogeneration plant mainly fuelled by natural gas; biomass fuelled; and incineration plants and others, includes municipal solid waste incineration plant, wind power plant and other activities relating to the power plant industry. Other activities include trading coal and investment holding. Operations are carried out in the People's Republic of China.
