The Group's principal activities are developing, designing, manufacturing, marketing and distributing bimetallic wire products, principally copper-clad aluminum (CCA) and copper-clad steel (CCS). Its products are primarily focused on serving end-user applications in the telecommunication, electrical utility, and transportation (including automotive) markets. CCA combines the conductivity and corrosion resistance of copper with the light weight and relatively low cost of aluminum. CCS is a substitute for solid copper and is recognized through its trademarked name, Copperweld. Copperweld combines the strength of steel with the conductivity of copper, offering increased strength in comparison to solid copper. Operations are carried out in the People's Republic of China, North America and Europe.
