The Group's principal activity is to offer products and services for dialysis. The Group operates under five major divisions, Medical care, Kabi, Helios, Vamed and Others. Medical care segment concentrates on dialysis care, manufacturing and marketing products for treatment of patients with end stage renal diseases. Kabi division specializes in the production and sale of products for infusion therapy and clinical nutrition as well as intravenously administered generic drugs. Helios division operates hospitals and had a network of 57 clinics. Vamed segment provides engineering and services for hospitals and other health care facilities internationally. Other division comprises the holding activities of Fresenius SE, the IT service provider Fresenius Netcare and Fresenius Biotech. The Group operates mainly in Europe, North America, Latin America, AsiaPacific and Africa.
