The Group's principal activity is to operate through a chain of discount general merchandise stores and full service pharmacies. In addition, the Group also sells general merchandise to its 24 franchisees. The Group provides a wide range of general merchandise including pharmaceuticals, household products, apparel and linens, food and tobacco products, health and beauty aids and paper and cleaning supplies. As of January 31, 2009, the Group had 639 retail stores and 284 pharmacies located in 15 states mainly in the Southeastern United States.
