The Group's principal activity is to provide air freight services to freight forwarders, integrated air cargo carriers and airlines. It operates in two segments; Forward Air and Forward Air Solutions. Forward Air segment provides transportation services through a network of terminals located at or near airports in the United States and Canada. Its customers are air freight forwarders, integrated air cargo carriers and passenger and cargo airlines. FASI segment provides pool distribution services that involves consolidation and shipment of several smaller less-than-truckload shipments to a common area or region. It serve throughout the Southeast, Midwest and Southwest continental United States. Its customers are national and regional retailers and distributors.
