| The Group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and sell ethical drug products, which require physician's prescription, as well as non-prescription pharmaceutical products sold over-the-counter. The products consist of ethical drug specialties marketed to physicians by the Group's Forest Pharmaceuticals, Forest Therapeutics, Forest Healthcare, Forest Ethicare and Forest Specialty Sales. The products of the Group include Lexapro, SSRI for the treatment of major depression and GAD; Namenda, NMDA antagonist for the treatment of moderate and severe Alzheimer's disease; Bystolic, beta-blocker for the treatment of hypertension; and Savella, the newest product, a dual reuptake inhibitor for the treatment of fibromyalgia. The major customers of the Group are McKesson Drug Company, Cardinal Health Inc and AmerisourceBergen Corporation. The Group operates in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Netherlands. |
