| The Group's principal activities are producing, distributing and selling soft drinks and beer and operating convenience stores. It operates through 3 business segments: Coca-Cola FEMSA, FEMSA Cerveza and FEMSA Comercio. Coca-Cola FEMSA is involved in the production, distribtution and marketing of soft drinks and other Coca-Cola trademark beverages throughout Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina. FEMSA Cerveza is involved in the production, distribution and marketing of beer through its subsidiaries. Brands include Tecate, Tecate Light, Sol, Carta Blanca e Indio, Kaiser and Bavaria y Sol, among others. FEMSA Comercio, operates a chain of convenience stores, under OXXO. It is also involved in the production and distribution of packaging materials primarily to the beverage industry such as labels, plastic cases, coolers and commercial refrigeration equipment and others. |
