The Group's principal activity is manufacturing and distributing building products and construction materials. It is organised into five divisions which are Laminates and Panels, Infrastructure, Steel, Distribution and Building Products. Laminates and Panels manufactures and distributes surface laminates, component products, particleboard and medium density fibreboard. Infrastructure supplies aggregates, cement, readymix concrete, concrete pipeline products, aggregate sands and other concrete products. Steel is comprised of three business streams which are rollforming and coatings, long steel products and steel product distribution. The Distribution division distributes building materials and related products throughout New Zealand under the PlaceMakers brand. Building Products manufactures plasterboard, insulation and metal roof tiles. The Group operates in more than 300 sites in Asia Pacific, the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.
