| The Group's principal activities are to carry on commercial, investment and retail banking. The Group operates under five segments: Corporate banking, Treasury, Retail banking, Real estate and Other operations. Under Corporate banking, it handles loans and other credit facilities, deposit and current accounts for corporate and institutional customers, it also includes merchant banking services. Under Treasury, it provides money market, trading and treasury services and manages its funding operations using government securities and placements. Under Retail Banking, it handles individual customers' deposits, provides consumer type loans, overdrafts, credit cards facilities and funds transfer facilities. Under Real estate, it performs acquisition, leasing, brokerage, management and resale of properties. The Group operates through its Head Office and branches in Abu Dhabi and its other branches in Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah, Fujairah, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah. |
