| The Group's principal activities are to design, develop, manufacture and market optical subsystems, components and test and monitoring systems for high-speed data communications. It operates through two segments: Optical Subsystems and Components and Network Test and Monitoring Systems. The Optical Subsystems and Components segment consists primarily of transmitters, receivers and transceivers that convert electrical signals into optical signals. The Network Test and Monitoring Systems segment includes products designed to test the reliability and performance of equipment for Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet and the Infiniband protocols. The Group's major customers include Brocade, Cisco Systems, EMC, Emulex, Hewlett-Packard Company and Qlogic. The operations of the Group are carried out in the United States, China, Malaysia, Singapore and Germany. The Group acquired Azna LLC in 26-Mar-2007 and Kodeos communications Inc in 11-Apr-2007. |
